About
A Church That Exalts Christ
We invite you to learn more about us. We are simply a body of Christians that meet together regularly (Hebrews 10:25), recognize Christ as our only Head (Ephesians 1:22-23), the Bible as our only creed (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and the gospel as God's power to save (Romans1:16-17).
Our emphasis is spiritual. Our building contains an auditorium conducive to spiritual worship and class rooms for Bible study periods. No gymnasium, game room or dining area is provided. We believe that the church's purpose is to help people get to heaven (Colossians 1:28), rather than to provide for their social and recreational needs.
Worship is orderly with congregational singing (Ephesians 5:19), prayers (Acts 4:24-30), the preaching of the word (Acts 20:7), weekly observance of the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-29), and a weekly collection from the members (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). No contributions are solicited from our visitors.
In short, this body seeks only to exalt Christ, through preaching His word, through following His teaching, through doing only that which He authorizes (Colossians 3:17), through wearing only His name (Acts 4:12), through making Him the center of our affection and adoration, and through recognizing Him as our only Head, Lord, and King.
Who We Are
Christians, disciples of Jesus, determined to follow the teachings of Christ as found in the New Testament. We are convinced that the only way to truly follow Jesus is to stay securely within what He and His apostles taught and practiced as revealed in the Scriptures (1 Peter 4:11) (Acts 11:26; 26:28).
